Chad Fournier
Senior User Experience Architect
Chad started solving user problems when he reduced his name to simply C4, and has been on a meteoric rise ever since.
A graduate of the grueling Visual Communication program at the Alberta College of Art & Design, he frequently calls on his “solid foundation” when addressing both user and life experiences.
As a senior designer at Critical Mass, Chad was integral in the redesign of The Home Depot customer and corporate sites, as well as Pampers.com, which led to his next role as a senior interaction designer at Shaw Communications. While at Shaw, he led the 12-person team tasked with redesigning both Shaw.ca and MyShaw.ca, as well as a massive Unified Desktop project.
Chad’s user experience, communication and leadership skills helped move him up the ranks at Shaw, where he also served as UX Practice Leader and UX Strategy Leader. His role was vital in establishing the UX practice within the IT department, where he also helped refine practices and processes while evangelizing User Experience across all departments. He closed out his Shaw work by helping create emotional and human connections between customers and technology, with the intent to make Shaw products simple to understand, easy to use and entertaining.
The UX Guys are fortunate to have Chad’s experience with deep engagements, as well as his towering presence parked in front of the crease at any of our hockey games.
A devoted dad whose collecting passions include Pez dispensers and hockey jerseys, C4 still draws and creates in his spare time…and dreams of the wood furniture he would design in a perfect world.
