UX Guys Inc.
Erica Mahan O'Donnell
Senior Strategist
Erica brings a wide palette of strategy, business and management skills to her user experience work.
As a keen business analyst and strategist, she provides valuable insights that balance business interests with user needs based on solid user research and information gathering. Her work includes one-on-one stakeholder and user interviews, persona development and digital strategy documentation.
Prior to coming on board with UX Guys, Erica worked at Critical Mass as project manager on the Rolex team, including a stint with the client’s European agency in Paris. She later moved onto the Kaiser Permanente team, which exposed her to information architecture and user experience.
As one of the earliest UX Guys – and the first that wasn’t a guy – Erica has been involved with numerous user experience projects. Working on Hitachi Global Storage, she conducted stakeholder interviews, developed business strategy documentation, defined digital strategies and led the strategy initiative for a global re-branding.
Erica has also been deeply engaged in many of our largest site redesign projects. In addition to establishing site structures, she is a strong proponent of collaborative efforts that mesh clients’ business, creative and technology teams.
Her familiarity with client relationship management is a key to her success in user experience projects, which often include meetings with senior level stakeholders, VPs and key decision-makers.
A long-time globetrotter who has spent many years in Europe, Erica is also a keen tennis player and fan. When at home in Calgary, she enjoys spending time in her garden and working on her century-old house.
