Erica Mahan User Experience Architect

Erica Mahan

Erica has traveled and worked around the world, and brings a broad palette of business and management skills to her user experience work.

Outside the office, Erica is a keen tennis player and music fan who also enjoys gardening and working on her century-old house.

After university, Erica went nomadic, living in Europe for three years before returning to Canada and going to work for a non-profit organization, where she organized a number of large international academic conferences.

In 2005 Erica joined Critical Mass as a project manager with the core team for the newly formed Rolex account, developing new workflows and processes while building client relationships. She spent the following summer in Paris working with the client’s European agency.

Erica switched accounts in 2007, moving to Kaiser Permanente in a hybrid project and account management role. Working with this smaller team exposed her to information architecture and user experience work, which led her to join the UX Guys in 2008.

Since becoming a user experience architect, she has worked on projects for Nokia, CareOne and Philips.
