Ross Andersen User Experience Architect
Ross brings a design sensibility to UX Guys that complements his considerable skills as a web author and developer. This self-confessed “Web Geek” has been designing and building sites since the early days of the Net, and even taught web design at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in the late 1990s.
After building his Web portfolio for 6 years at Karo Design and winning numerous awards along the way, Ross founded Little Orange Dots and began offering his services as both creative director, lead developer and account manager. Since then, he has also worked for the City of Calgary, where he helped build the organization’s online presence and also his reputation as an insightful user experience architect.
Some of Ross’ higher profile work has included Enbridge, Travel Alberta and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, but it’s clear where his real passion lies. Having developed websites, banners, posters and business cards for companies like Calgary Cycle, Pure Cycle, Banshee Bicycles and the Calgary Bicycle Track League, he’s obviously most comfortable in the company of two-wheel junkies.
In addition to being an avid cyclist, Ross also likes to rock out on the drums or guitar. Somehow, he also finds time to spend with his wife and two kids – in other words, just another UX Guys overachiever.
