Scott Anderson Sr. User Experience Architect

Scott Anderson

Scott’s background can best be described as eclectic – he has a graduate education in history and international relations, but is also an Internet veteran who’s worked in Canada, the United States and Germany.

Outside of work, Scott stays busy with competitive cycling and speedskating, keeping his daughter out of trouble, preserving his ancient diabetic cat, and returning to Berlin every summer.

In the 1990s, Scott started his career as a technical writer for a small software firm in Chicago, then joined a growing software company in Vancouver, where he learned the online business in a classic “webmaster” position.

Scott skipped town at the peak of the dot-com boom and settled in Berlin. In 2000 he took a job running the internet programs for the British embassy, building and launching an extensive new web site.

In 2002 Scott moved to Calgary and joined Critical Mass the following year, first as a content analyst then as an information architect. His client list includes Dell, Las Vegas Convention and Visitor Authority, Kaiser Permanente and Hyatt.

Scott joined the UX Guys in 2008. He brings a range of perspectives to user experience projects, combining information architecture, interaction design and qualitative research expertise, along with writing and editing skills.
